CHAPTER 13- Meeting with Anand Sharma-Gayatri mantra

After meeting Subbaya Sreshti, Shankar Bhat continued his journey to Kurvapuram. On his way he was met by Sri Anand Sharma. He narrated the blessings by Maharshi Kanva at a very young age his experiencesin Narasimha caves and with Sripada Srivallabh. Sripada blessed him to be born as Venkayya Avadoota in his future birth.

He also gave vivid description of how Venkatapyya Sreshti was saved by Sripada srivallabha from death against astrological predictions made.

CHAPTER 12- Bheema, the hunch back,wins the wrestler Kulasekhar

Subbya Sreshti went on to narrate the miracle performed by SripadaSrivallabha at the age of four in Narasimha verma's house. How Kulasekahra a proficient in 'Varmakala' was humbled by him using Bheema as his instrument.

ನರಸಿಂಹ ವರ್ಮರು ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರಿಗಾಗಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಜರಿ ಪೇಟ ತಯಾರು  ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಜಮೀನನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಲು ಹೋಗುವಾಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅದನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ  ಹೋಗುವುದು ಪರಿಪಾಠ. ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಪೇಟ ಧರಿಸುವಾಗ  ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರು "ತಾತಾ! ನಾವು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತು  ದಡೆದು ಹೋಗ ಬಹುದಲ್ಲವೆ?" ಎಂದರು.  ಅಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ಪೀಠಿಕಾಪುರದ ಮಲ್ಲಯೋಧರು ಬಂದರು. ಅವರು ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರಿಗೆ ಶರಣಾದರು. ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಭಯವಿತ್ತರು. ಪೀಠಿಕಾಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭೀಮನೆಂಬ ಗೂನನಿದ್ದ. ......."ಮಲ್ಲಯೋಧರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಮಗೇನು ಭಯ ?" ಎಂದು ಶ್ರಿಪಾದರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ದತ್ತನ ಲೀಲೆಗಳು ಚಿತ್ರ-ವಿಚಿತ್ರವಾದವು. ಕುಲಶೇಖರನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೋರಾಡಲು  ಭೀಮನನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿದ್ದು ಪೀಠಿಕಾಪುರದ  ಜನರಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯತರಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಏಟಿನಿಂದ ಭೀಮ ಸಾಯಬಹುದು ಅಥವಾ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದ ದಿವ್ಯತ್ವ ಬೆಳೆಕಿಗೆ ಬರಬಹುದೆಂದು ಜನ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.....

CHAPTER 11 : BILVAMANAGALA, SUBYYA SRESHTI AND CHINTAMANI

Subayya Sreshti went on to explain  Sripada's transcendental nature as demonstrated to His grandfather
'Baapana avadhanudu. He also shows his Narsimha swarupa  with Chenchu Laxmi along with Chenchu clan of people to Subbayya Shreshti and his earlier associates Chinthamani  and Bilwa-mangala.

Both, with Sripada's blessings,  reach a high yogic state and self realization

CHAPTER-10: Encounter with Subbayya Sreshti

In this episode Shankar Bhat comes across Subbayya Shreshti who was a greedy merchant. He was later taken in to Sripada Srivallabha's  fold through miraculous events. He was blessed with Akshaya paatra by Sripada Vallabha to take care of his day today food requirements.

It is indeed an eye opener how, Sripada, can nullify our bad karma yet compassionate with our undoings.

CHAPTER -09 : ಕರ್ಮ ಫಲ ಮೀಮಾಂಸೆ

ಶ್ರೀ ಪಾದ ರಾಜಂ ಶರಣಂ ಪ್ರಪದ್ಯೆ

Chapter -09

Sripadasrivallabha  gives his darshan in the form of light  to Shankar Bhat and Thirumaladas  during their meditation. Following this they find the "Naivedyam" made of chickpeas turns in to non edible  metallic pellets. This causes confusion in the mind of Shankar Bhat whether it is a blessing or  anger of Sripada regarding some of his doubts. Thirumaladas explains the significance of the vision they had. The chickpea's conversion in to iron pellets symbolizes prevention of possibility of sprouting thus signifying warding off impending ill health due malefic aspect of Guru in the horoscope of Shankar Bhat

The discussion further proceeds exploring extensively the karmic effects that governs the human birth. Even an avatar like Sripada -who is beyond effects of karma- also takes on him the bad karma of his forefathers to neutralize them. "The commandments of the Universal Law- giver are applicable to one and all. Likewise when He descends on earth in human form, He is also subjected to the laws of Karma , thus becoming role model for us to follow His path"

ನೈವೇದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆಂದು ಇಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕಡಲೆಕಾಯಿ "ಶ್ರೀ ಪಾದ ರಾಜಂ ಶರಣಂ ಪ್ರಪದ್ಯೆ" ಎಂಬ ಆಕಾರವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಿತು. ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿಳಿಯ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಪತ್ರ ಕಾಣಿಸಿತು. ನಾವು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವಂತೆ ಅದು ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಯಿತು. ಚಚೌಕ ಆಕಾರವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಿತು. ತಾಳೆ ಪತ್ರಕ್ಕಿಂತ ತಿಳುವು ಆಗಿ, ಮುಟ್ಟಲು ತಿಳುವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕಪ್ಪು ಬಣ್ಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಬರಯಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. "ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ನಿರ್ವಾಣ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತುಪೂರ್ವ  3102 ನೆ ಸಂವತ್ಸರ ಫೆಬ್ರುವರಿ ತ್ಂಗಳು 18ನೆ ತಾರೀಖು ರಾತ್ರಿ 2 ಗಂಟೆ 27 ನಿಮಿಷ 30 ಸೆಕೆಂಡುಗಳು. ಇದು ಪ್ರಮಾದಿ ನಾಮ ಸಂವತ್ಸರ ಚೈತ್ರಶುದ್ಧ ಪಾಡ್ಯ, ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಅಶ್ವಿನೀ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರ. ಶ್ರೀ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ನಿರ್ಯಾಣದ ನಂತರ ಕಲಿಯ ಪ್ರವೇಶವಾಯಿತು !"

CHAPTER-08 : ದತ್ತಾವತಾರದ ವರ್ಣನೆ.

Sripadarajam sharanam prapadye

 Shri Tirumaladas started explaining various  intricate aspects of Dattavtara to Shankar Bhatt. The relation between food one eats  and its influence on his mental evolution too is explained by Tirumaladas. Finally he narrated an incident about an ascetic's visit to Sripada's house and his strange experience with Sripada. Sripada identifies him as Vidyaranya Maharishi and asks him to help Harihara and Bukka to establish a kingdom to protect Hindu way of life.

ವೆಂಕಾವದಾನಿಗಳ ಭುಜವನ್ನೇರಿ   ಕುಳಿತು ಮುದ್ದು ಮುದ್ದು ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡುತ್ತಾ,  ಬಾಲ್ಯ ಚೇಷ್ಟೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ  ಸಿದ್ಧನತ್ತ ನೋಡಿ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರು ನಕ್ಕರು. ಅದನ್ನು ಕೂಡ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸಿದ್ಧ ಸಮಾದಿ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು. ಆತ ಸಹಜ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ತಲಪಿದ ನಂತರ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರು "ಮಾಧವಾ ! ನನಗೆ ಹದಿನಾರು ಸಂವತ್ಸರಗಳಾದಾಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೋರಿಕೆಯ ಮೋರೆಗೆ  ಬುಕ್ಕರಾಯನೇ ಹಿಂದೂ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವನು. ಹರಿಹರ ಬುಕ್ಕರಾಯನಿಗೂ ಜೊತೆಯಾಗಿರು.ನೀನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರಣ್ಯ ಮಹರ್ಷಿ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ವಿಖ್ಯಾತಿ ಹೊಂದುವೆ....

CHAPTER -7A: ನರಸಾವದಾನಿ ದಂಪತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರ ಉಪದೇಶ

In part A Sri Tirumaladas narrates the leela of Sripada shown to Narasavadhani by being simultaneously present in three different locations. In course of time  Narasavadhani's reputation started declining among the residents of Pitikapuram and his plight became pitiable. The disturbed wife of Narasavadhani  cries in her puja room  about her misfortune. LO! Sripada vallabha appears right  there and answers lot of their queries regarding  karmic principles and his avathar hood.

"ದೈವ ಭಾವ ಪ್ರಿಯನೇ ಹೊರತು ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣ ಪ್ರಿಯನಲ್ಲ. ನಿನ್ನ ಭಾವದಂತೆ ದೈವವೂ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಬ್ರ ಹ್ಮ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಂಬಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ನಾನು ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನು. ಧರ್ಬಾರು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಭಕ್ತರ ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇಮ ವಿಚಾರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸುವಾಗ ನಾನು ಕ್ಷತ್ರಿಯನು. ಪ್ರತಿ ಜೀವಿಗೂ, ಆ ಜೀವಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಪಾಪ-ಪುಣ್ಯ ಕರ್ಮವನ್ನನುಸರಿಸಿ ಫಲ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಿತವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಫಲವೂ ನನ್ನಿದಲೇ ದೊರಕುವುದು. ಅಳೆದು, ತೂಗಿ ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಲೆಕ್ಕ ನೋಡುವಾಗ ನಾನು ವೈಶ್ಯ. ಭಕ್ತರ ನೋವನ್ನು, ಕಷ್ಟವನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಶರೀರಕ್ಕೆ ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸುಖ ಶಾಂತಿಯನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡುವ ಸೇವಾಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯುವಾಗ ನಾನು ಶೂದ್ರ. ಜೀವಿಗಳ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ತೊಳೆಯುವಾಗ ನಾನು ಆಳು. ಮರಣಿಸಿದ ಜೀವಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟು ಬೂದಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಜನ್ಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸಾವಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಸ್ಮಶಾನ ಕಾಯುವೆ. ಈಗ ನಾನು ಯಾವ ಕುಲದವನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೇಳು"

CHAPTER-6 (A) -ಶ್ರ್ರೀಪಾದ ಶ್ರ್ರೀ ವಲ್ಲಭರ ಆವಿರ್ಭಾವ : ನರಸಾವದಾನಿಗಳ ವೃತ್ತಾಂತ

Sri Thirumaldas, the washerman, further narrated  at length the stories of Sri Bappanarya, his daughter Sumathi maharani and her husband Sri Applaraja sharma and how they were given indication about an avatar of  Dattattreya as Sripada Srivallabha was to take place in their family to Shankar Bhat. The appearence of Kaalagni shamana Datta in Appalaraja sharma's meditation and informing him about his previous birth as Vishnu Datta and his present wife Sumathi as Suseela and their failure to seek a right boon from Dattatreya at that time now being materialized as birth of Sripada as their son is told in detail.
As Thirumaladas himself was once a resident of Peetikapuram and closely associated with all the villagers( because of his profession) he could narrate many incidents that highlighted Sripada srivallabha's greatness to Shankar Bhat. One such incident was about Sri Narasavadhani who was jealous of Bappanarya's fame and his repeated failures to defame him leading to his own degradation. By disrepecting Sripada in an  assembly of sholars, who was then just a kid of one year old, Narasavadhani lost the grace of Bagalamukhi Devi and faced disgrace among the learened ones. To Asutosh, a scholar from Bengal, Sripada assured that he himself was the Bagalamukhi devi and gave him  darshan of Bagalamukhi.

ಆಶುತೋಷನು "ಪ್ರಭೂ! ನರಸಾವದಾನಿ ಬಗಳಾಮುಖಿ ಆರಾಧಕರೆಂದು

ತಿಳಿಯಿತು.ಅವರನ್ನಾಶ್ರಯಿಸಿ ಅಂಬಿಕಳ ದರ್ಶನ ಪಡಯಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದೆ. ನನ್ನ ಬಯಕೆ

ಈಡೇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರಿಂದ ಅದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯಿತು!" ಆಗ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರೆಂದರು-" ಆತ ಆರಾಧಿಸುವ ಅಂಬಿಕ ನಾನೇ! ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೋಗಲು ಹೇಳುವವರೆಗೂ ನರಸಾವಧಾನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮಶರೀರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಂಬಿಕಾ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಲೀನವಾದಳು. ನಾನು ಸರ್ವ ದೇವಿ ದೇವತಾಸ್ವರೂಪ. ಅಂಬಿಕಳ ದರ್ಶನ ಭಾಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದು" ಎಂದು ಆಶುತೋಷನಿಗೆ ಬಗಳಾಂಬಿಕಳ ದರ್ಶನವಿತ್ತರು.

CHAPTER-4: ಶಿವ ಶರ್ಮನ ವೃತ್ತಾಂತ ;ಶ್ರೀಪಾದರ ಧ್ಯಾನದ ಫಲ

In Chapter 4 we find Yogi Palaniswamy explaining all the visions of   meditations which includes past, present and future of his time.  
[He was a tool in the hands of Sripada Srivallabha to inform Shankar Bhat as part of biography documentation needed for future generations.]
After emerging from meditation yogi Palani Swamai, Shankar bhat and Madhava shared their respective experiences during meditation. Sri PalaniSwami told the story of Shivashankar Sharma. He was very much  ashamed of having an underdeveloped son. Sripada Srivallabha granted him the boon that his son can be made as a scholar in exchange of Shivashankara Sharma's balance of  life span for which Sharma readily agrees.  Later as promised Sripada saves the life of Sharma's widow and son when they were about to commit suicide out of poverty and shame. By his grace the son became a great scholar.  His mother was given a boon that she, in her following birth would be fortunate to be the mother of Narsimha Saraswathi- the next avatar of Sripada Srivallabha.
( this part of the story is available in "Gurucharithra" of  Narsimha Saraswathi written by Sri Vasudevananda Saraswathi -which is popular as Paarayana Grantha  in Maharashtra- but with lesser details)

Later Palaniswami explains the vision of Shankara Bhat as an indication of arrival of Hindu- Muslim fakir

Saibaba and Madhava's vision as the assurance of SriPada about establishement of his Padukas at his birth place in Pitikapuram  at the appropriate time.

At the end of the session Palaniswami requests the dead body of the young man to be brought back and enters in to that body leaving his old one lifeless. While shankar Bhat and Madhava looked dumb struck Vyagreesha Sharma arrived in tiger form and lifted the lifeless body to the nearby river to dispose it off.
PalaniSwami ordered Shankar Bhat to proceed to Tirupathi and Madhava to return to Vichithrapura.

ಅಂಬಿಕಳನ್ನು ಶೇಷ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು  ಶಿವ ಪೂಜಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆಯುವಂತೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದರು. ಶನಿವಾರದಂದು ಪ್ರದೋಷ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಶಿವ ಪೂಜಾ ಫಲದ  ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಮುಂದಿನ ಜನ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಬಿಕಳಿಗೆ ತಮಗೆ ಸರಿಸಮಾನನಾದ ಮಗ ಹುಟ್ಟುವನೆಂದು ನುಡಿದರು. ಆದರೆ  ತಮಗೆ ಸರಿಸಮಾನನಾದ ವರು ಮೂರು ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವುದಿಂದ ತಾವೆ ಆಕೆಗೆ ಮಗನಾಗಿ ಜನಿಸಲು ನಿಶ್ಚಯಿಸಿದರು.
