Shankar Bhat continues his journey northwards to Kuruvapuram. In chapter 2, he describes his mysterious experience of worshiping of Indra's Sivalinga in two different periods of time. He initially saw a peaceful forest Kadambavana as he passed along. When he was asked to revisit after meeting a Siddha yogi the same place had turned to be a crowded town called Madurai.

A tired and confused Shankar bhat fell in to slumber only to find himself waking up in a far away place In his further journey he was suddenly troubled by pecking crows and biting snakes and was finally saved by a group of washer-men. A cobbler named Vallabhadas not only treated his wounds but also a yogi, explains the reasons for his suffering. Those are peculiar ways of Sripada Srivallabha in nullifying the bad karmic loads of his devotees.

This chapter ends with Shankar Bhat's experience with the king of Vichithrapura who tested the brahmins, in strange ways, for their scholarly accomplishments and punished them when failed. However Bhat's naive replies were interpreted as that of a genius and he was greatly rewarded by the king which was attributed to Sripada srivallabha's leela.  Listen to the full story.  Duration :50 min
